Absentee Balloting Begins for August Dem Primary

In advance of the August 23 Democratic primary in the City of Falls Church, in-person absentee balloting will begin this Friday, July 8 at the Voter Registrar Office in Falls Church’s City Hall, 300 Park Ave.

Those wishing to vote in the primary must be registered by Aug. 1, and can also do that at City Hall. Those seeking to vote absentee by mail must have their application to the Voter Registrar by Aug. 16. Applications can be pulled off the City’s website. There is only one election for voters in the Aug. 23 Democratic primary, that for Commonwealth Attorney for the Arlington District Court.

With incumbent Dick Trodden retiring after 18 years, there are two candidates who’ve qualified to run: Trodden endorsee Theo Stamos, an attorney in his office, and David Deane, a partner in the Arlington law firm of Albo and Oblon.
