F.C. Man Succumbs to Injuries Suffered in Car Crash Last Month

A Falls Church man involved in a crash last month has died as a result of injuries he suffered in the crash.

Ahmed Ehsan, 54, of 6000 Knollwood Drive #204 in Falls Church, was pronounced dead at Inova Fairfax Hospital just before 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 21.

Fairfax County police say the crash occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, when a 44-year-old, Maryland man operating a 2000 Chrysler minivan was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Columbia Pike. Ehsan was operating a 1997 Honda eastbound on Colunbia Pike. The vehicles hit head-on at the intersection of Powell Lane. Ehsan was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital.

The driver of the Chrysler, Jose Ernesto Tejada Hinojosa was not injured. He was charged with DWI.

This case is still under investigation.
