Nellie Mae Staats died Saturday, June 18, at the age of 79. Nellie was wife to Jay Batt and sister to Ryneer Staats, both deceased. She leaves behind a sister, Marcia Staats, plus three nephews and their children.
She worked at a 7-Eleven store years ago in the Falls Church area and was living in Winchester at the time of her death.
Burial for her, with her husband’s ashes, will be Thursday, June 23, at 1 p.m. at Flint Hill Cemetery in Vienna.
