Lucy M. Wingrove passed away Thursday, May 26, at age 83 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Falls Church.
She was born May 30, 1926 in Richardsville, Culpeper County, to George Washington and Callie Starkey.
Ms. Wingrove was a registered nurse for 50 active years. She is survived by one sister, Lilly Whitis, of Gainesville, and three daughters – Ann of Frankfort, KY; Mary of Cape Cod, MA; Carolyn of Falls Church and nine grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Columbia Baptist Church, 103 West Columbia Street, Falls Church, 22046. Interment will be at National Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Audubon Society.
