F.C. Goes Back in Time with Civil War Day

civilwar_GJ_1The City of Falls Church hosted Civil War Day – a living-history event depicting the Falls Church homefront during the Civil War – last Saturday, May 21, at Cherry Hill Park and Farmhouse. Visitors were invited to see Civil War soldier and civilian reenactments, as well as soldier firing and drilling exercises, a Civil War medical tent, a telegrapher, tours of the Civil War farmhouse, a children’s tent with activities, live music, spy stories and readings.
