F.C. City to Give Refreshments on Bike to Work Day

The City of Falls Church is hosting a “refreshment stop” alongside the W&OD Trail at Little Falls Street on Friday, May 20, which is Bike to Work Day.

The Falls Church refreshment stop will be open with free refreshments from 6:30 – 9 a.m. A limited number of giveaways will be available as well as information about the City’s Pedestrian, Bicycle and Traffic Calming Strategic Plan.

Bike to Work Day will be recognized in communities across the country on May 20 to draw attention to the health, economic and environmental benefits of biking and walking – rather than driving a car – to work.

For more information about Bike to Work Day in Falls Church, or the City’s “Ped Plan,” contact Wendy Block Sanford, principal planner/transportation planner, at 703-248-5041 or wblocksanford@fallschurchva.gov.
