Nearly 150 dignitaries, local celebrities and other individuals gathered on April 30 to raise money for surgeries and related health care services for underserved communities in Guatemala.
The evening – known as The Arts for Healing – collected $100,000 for Partner for Surgery, a McLean-based nonprofit organization that provides medical care to more than 25,000 Guatemalans and has facilitated over 7,000 surgeries since 2001. The event celebrated the accomplishments of the 10-year-old nonprofit organization and its founders, Frank and Todd Peterson.
