Mason Grad Leads Columbia Rowing Team to Victory

Falls Church resident and George Mason High School graduate Katie Mitchell, senior co-captain of the Columbia University women’s rowing team, helped lead her team to win the Wilkins Bowl the third year in a row at the 24th annual George Washington Invitational Regatta, held April 9 – 10 on the Potomac River in Washington, DC.

Falls Church resident and George Mason High School graduate Katie Mitchell, senior co-captain of the Columbia University women’s rowing team, helped lead her team to win the Wilkins Bowl the third year in a row at the 24th annual George Washington Invitational Regatta, held April 9 – 10 on the Potomac River in Washington, DC.

In the championship final, Columbia’s Varsity 8 crew defeated Oxford University to claim the victory in the inaugural Potomac Challenge Cup.
