The “Requiem” by noted area composer Paul Leavitt will be performed this weekend by the New York Master Chorale at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 212 E. Capitol N.E. in Washington D.C., at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
The “Requiem” by noted area composer Paul Leavitt will be performed this weekend by the New York Master Chorale at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 212 E. Capitol N.E. in Washington D.C., at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. The 60 singers will be accompanied by a full orchestra and soloists. Leavitt is an accomplished classical pianist, concert organist and choral conductor. One of his compositions, “From Tom to Tenn,” a musical based on the life of Tennessee Williams, was performed at Georgetown University’s Tennessee Williams Centennial Festival last month.
