City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for Apr. 5 – 11, 2011

Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On Apr. 5, 6:55 p.m., an officer observed a man in the traffic lanes begging for money from motorists. A male, 55, no fixed address, was arrested for Panhandling.

Driving Under the Influence, 900 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 6, 1:18 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, A female, 29, of Sterling, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Stolen Vehicle, 1231 W. Broad St. (Don Beyer Volvo) On Apr. 6, 10:50 a.m., the victim business reported one of their vehicles was stolen after being notified by a tow company that the vehicle was towed to its lot. The vehicle was recovered.

Larceny from Building, 7130 Leesburg Pike (Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School) On Apr. 6, 11:20 a.m., the victim reported her wallet had been stolen from her purse on Feb. 25 after realizing unauthorized transactions were made with her credit card.

Trespassing and Public Drunkenness, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Apr. 8, 12:53 a.m., an officer observed an altercation involving an intoxicated man. The officer recognized the intoxicated man as a banned individual from the Eden Center. A male, 22, of Rockville, MD, was arrested for Trespassing and Public Drunkenness.

Narcotics Violations and Driving While Suspended, 300 block Great Falls St. On Apr. 8, 2:56 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for motor vehicle violation. A passenger, A female, 18, of Arlington was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. The driver, A male, 20, of Arlington, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Driving while Suspended.

Public Drunkenness, 100 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 8, 1:33 p.m., officers responded to the area for a report of an intoxicated man. A male, 44, no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Narcotics Violation, 7124 Leesburg Pike (George Mason High School) On Apr. 8, 3:44 p.m., a 16 year-old juvenile male, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

Public Drunkenness, 132 W Broad St. (Dogwood Tavern) On Apr. 8, 10:55 p.m., officers responded to the restaurant for a report of an intoxicated man who was refusing to leave the restaurant. A male, 50, of Arlington, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Smoking in a Non-Designated Area and Permitting Smoking Where Prohibited, 6795 Wilson Blvd #18 (Phố Biển) On Apr. 8, 11:30 p.m., officers observed A male, 36, of Falls Church, smoking tobacco products in the restaurant. He was arrested for Smoking in a Non-Designated Area. An employee of the restaurant, a male, 21, of Fairfax, and the owner, a male, 30, of Fairfax, were arrested for Permitting Smoking Where Prohibited.

Driving Under the Influence, 700 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 9, 1:06 a.m., an officer responded to a one-vehicle accident. The driver, a female, 56, of Fairfax, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Fraud, 100 block E Ananndale Rd. On Apr. 9, 6:33 p.m., the victim reported he was sold a vehicle with a fictitious title.

Driving Under the Influence, 1000 block Hillwood Ave. On Apr. 9, 9:09 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 25, of Spotsylvania, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Breath or Blood Test, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Apr. 10, 12:49 a.m., a male, 28, of Springfield, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and for Refusing to Submit to Breath or Blood Test.

Larceny from Building, 6763 Wilson Blvd. #R3 (V3 Club) On Apr. 10, 12:50 a.m., the victim reported her purse was stolen in the club that evening.

Narcotics Violation and Public Drunkenness, 917 W. Broad St. (El Zunzal Restaurant) On Apr. 10, 11:31 p.m., an officer observed two intoxicated men while one of the men was snorting cocaine in the parking lot. A male, 29, of Rockville, MD, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and Public Drunkenness. A male, 30, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Defrauding an Innkeeper and Public Drunkenness, 917 W. Broad St. (El Zunzal Restaurant) On Apr. 11, 12:29 a.m., the restaurant reported that an intoxicated man was unable to pay for a restaurant bill. The customer, a male, 27, of Falls Church, was arrested for Defrauding an Innkeeper and Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence, 400 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 11, 3:05 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 31, of Fairfax, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
