Falls Church Resident Ingrid Lowman Dies at 83

Ingrid S. Lowman, 83, of Falls Church and formerly of Radford, died Monda, March 28 in INOVA Fairfax Hospital.

lowmanIngridIngrid was born in Bremerhaven, Germany on November 23, 1927, and was a daughter of the late Otto and Frieda Schrader. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harris Lowman, Jr., whom she met while he was serving in the U.S. Army in Germany.

Survivors include a son Henry H. Lowman, III of Falls Church; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert A. Lowman and Rebecca Lowman Thompson, both of Radford; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 3:30 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Steve Shackelford officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery at Bedlam Manor Farm in Pulaski County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Second and Harvey Street, Radford, Va 24141. The Lowman family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
