City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for Mar. 15 – 21, 2011
Assault and Battery, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #39 (Phuong Hoang Restaurant) On Mar. 15, 2:39 p.m., officers found a man bleeding from a fight in the restaurant.
Public Drunkenness, 1000 block E. Broad St. On Mar. 15, 10:30 p.m., an officer observed an intoxicated man claiming to carry weapons. A male, 36, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness. No weapons were found on the suspect.
Unlicensed Solicitation, 1200 block Lincoln Ave. On Mar. 16, 2:37 p.m., an officer responded to the area for a report of a woman soliciting magazines in the neighborhood. A female, 20, of Arlington, was arrested for Unlicensed Solicitation.
Discharging Weapon at an Occupied Dwelling and Destruction of Property, 100 block Haycock Rd. On Mar. 16, 4:28 p.m., the resident reported hearing a loud pop while in his residence and found his window with a hole about the size of a BB pellet. No injuries were reported.
Assault, 200 block W. Broad St. On Mar 16, 6:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a 3 year-old being slapped in the face by an unknown female. Witnesses described the suspect as a White female, approximately 35-45 years old and medium build. She had blonde hair, wore glasses and was wearing a tan coat and yellow pajama pants at the time of the incident.
Larceny from Motor Vehicle and Destruction of Property, 103 W. Columbia St. (Columbia Baptist Church) On Mar 16, 8:49 p.m., the victim reported the rear window of his parked van was smashed and several power tools and Freon equipment were stolen sometime after 6:30 p.m.
Larceny from Motor Vehicle and Destruction of Property, 140 S. Maple Ave. (Bowl America) On Mar 16, 9:58 p.m., the victim reported the passenger side window of his parked vehicle was smashed and his iPod was stolen sometime after 8:45 p.m.
Larceny from Motor Vehicle and Destruction of Property, 124 N. Washington St. (Claire and Don’s) On Mar 16, 10:14 p.m., the victim reported the passenger side window of his parked vehicle was smashed and his iPod was stolen sometime after 9:45 p.m.
Larceny from Motor Vehicle and Destruction of Property, 124 N. Washington St. (Claire and Don’s) On Mar 16, 10:21 p.m., the victim reported the passenger side window of his parked vehicle was smashed. His laptop computer and school books were stolen from the vehicle sometime after 9:50 p.m.
Burglary, 115 Hillwood Ave. #10 (Animé Pavilion) On Mar. 17, 12:36 a.m., officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers found the glass to the front entrance door had been broken out. The business reported boxes of cards were stolen.
Larceny from Building, 1142 W. Broad St. (Baskin Robbins) On Mar. 17, 11:15 a.m., the business reported that cash was stolen from an unsecure cash register sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Noise Violation, 1014 W. Broad St. (Jiffy Lube) On Mar. 18, 6:09 a.m., a male, 45, of Front Royal, was picking up refuse during prohibited hours. The suspect was arrested for Violation of the Noise Ordinance.
Narcotics Violation and Underage Possession of Alcohol, 100 block S. Maple Ave. On Mar. 18, 11:27 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. A passenger, a 16 year-old male, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Underage Possession of Alcohol. Additional passengers, a 16 year-old female and a 17 year-old female, both of the City of Falls Church, were arrested for Underage Possession of Alcohol. The driver of the vehicle, Joseph Reich, 18, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.
Driving Under the Influence, 7100 block Leesburg Pike On Mar. 19, 2:05 a.m., a female, 45, of Clifton, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Public Drunkenness, 100 block W. Broad St. On Mar. 19, 2:19 a.m., an officer observed two intoxicated men stumbling near the street. A male, 29, of Centreville, and a male, 26 of Centreville, were arrested for Public Drunkenness.
Assault, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Com Tam Saigon Restaurant) On Mar. 20, 5:22 p.m., the victim reported an unknown Asian female slapped the victim’s face at approximately 4:22 p.m.
Credit Card Fraud, 1049 W. Broad St. (Economy Party Supply Store) On Mar. 21, at 11:14 a.m., the victim reported his wallet was left behind at the store and his credit cards were fraudulently used to make purchases.
