Lovejoy, Day to Marry in Alexandria Wedding

engagementDr. and Mrs. Hugh M. Lovejoy Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Lovejoy to Gregory Sayre Day, son of Ellen Congleton and the late James Congleton of Falls Church.

engagementDr. and Mrs. Hugh M. Lovejoy Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Lovejoy to Gregory Sayre Day, son of Ellen Congleton and the late James Congleton of Falls Church.

Lauren is the granddaughter of the late O.L. Thompson Jr. of Hanahan, South Carolina, Mary Harper of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh M. Lovejoy of Bluffton, South Carolina. Lauren has a bachelor of science degree in biology from the College of Charleston and is completing her masters in medical science physician assistant studies at South University in Savannah, Georgia.

Greg is the grandson of Commander Robert S. “Hap” Day and the late Clara Lee Day of Falls Church. Greg obtained his culinary degree from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina and is the sous chef of Alligator Soul restaurant in Savannah, Georgia.

The wedding is planned for May 20, 2011, in Alexandria.
