The University of Virginia is seeking a fulltime Program Director in its School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church. The successful candidate must be experienced and creative in developing and managing successful credit and non-credit offerings in one or more fields of business, information technology, or other professional disciplines at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Must have experience in developing online courses as well as programs in the traditional classroom format. Should have experience in the field of adult education; hiring qualified instructors; and preparing program budgets. The Program Director will be working collaboratively with an academic Sr. Program Director as well as individually or as part of a team. The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing, student services, administrative and outreach units within the School and possess the ability to meet and establish personal networks with senior executives in business, government, and professional associations. This is a non-tenure track faculty position. Master’s degree required with specialized knowledge in professional areas related to business or government highly preferred; Ed.D. or Ph. D. preferred. Some travel required, primarily day trips within the Commonwealth, but occasional overnight travel is required. Strong computer skills required.
