Volunteer Fairfax Seeks Service Award Nominations

Established in 1993, the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards by Volunteer Fairfax serve as a community-wide celebration of volunteerism. The awards honor individuals, groups and organizations that have given outstanding volunteer service.

Established in 1993, the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards by Volunteer Fairfax serve as a community-wide celebration of volunteerism. The awards honor individuals, groups and organizations that have given outstanding volunteer service.

Over the last 18 years, Volunteer Fairfax has recognized more than 2,250 individuals for their commitment to the community. Those interested can recognize a special volunteer by nominating him or her for a 2011 Fairfax County Volunteer Service Award.

The awards will be given April 14, at the Waterford at Springfield from 8 – 10 a.m. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 4.
