Thomas Jefferson Fourth Grader Erik Boesen recently became the Tiger champion in the 2011 National Geographic Geography Bee.
Boesen aced the preliminary rounds last month. He and nine other high scorers met in the finals.
Erik will now take a written exam to see if he qualifies to move on to the Virginia State Championships.
