The fete, including live music on the main outdoor stage and in two neighborhood churches, kids rides and fine dining in the nearby restaurants, culminated with a countdown to the New Year at the main stage in the center of the closed-off 100 block of W. Broad St. and was accompanied by the lowering of the historic Falls Church lighted star, which originally adorned the City’s water tower in decades past. (Photos: Gary Mester)
