Students Compete Against Area Schools for Band Spots

Forty-three George Mason High School students auditioned at West Potomac High School Saturday, Dec. 11, competing against area schools for the opportunity to perform in two high school bands and one middle school band led by guest conductors from the top colleges in the country.

Forty-three George Mason High School students auditioned at West Potomac High School Saturday, Dec. 11, competing against area schools for the opportunity to perform in two high school bands and one middle school band led by guest conductors from the top colleges in the country.

Matt Baker, Llewelyn Howell, Nathan Frost, Virginia Rice, Jay Rodock, Anuraag Sensharma and Tyler Waters auditioned into the top high school ensemble.

Chas Bowling, Lauren Bowling, Honora Overby, Hannah Shenouda, Dane Warner and Susannah Whittle auditioned into the symphonic band.

Victoria Corlett, Matteo D’Agostino, Justin Divecha, Ada Haensel, Max Hendrix, Theresa McMahon, Daniel Nette, Arijeet Sensharma and Claire Schmidt auditioned into the select middle school band.
