Mary Riley Styles Library, the Falls Church City public library, and Hungry for Music, an organization that allows underserved children to pursue their musical talents, benefited from collections taken at the concert.

On Dec. 28, Hayes, of Troop 875, and his rock band, Sane Asylum, performed at Stacy’s Coffee Parlor at 709 W. Broad St. for over 100 people throughout the evening.
The price of admission was to bring a donation of either books or a musical instrument for the two organizations.

The event collected over 800 books, DVDs and book tapes for Mary Riley Styles Library.

For Hungry For Music, Hayes collected a symphonic euphonium, a clarinet, a flute, a violin and guitar, a tambourine, and a couple of flutophones.

Sane Asylum features Hayes, Elliot Roth, Christian Barbosa, Nick Photiadis, and Jeff Bynun.
