Jacques J. Moore Dies at Age 82

Jacques J. Moore, 82, a retired U.S. Marine Corps major who ran Moore Cadillac in Tysons Corner, died Dec. 31, 2010. A resident of McLean, he and his grandson, Joe Moore, initiated efforts to add lighting to the football field at George Mason High School in Falls Church, where Joe Moore graduated. The field was named Moore Cadillac Field in recognition.

Jacques was the husband of Blanche H. Moore; father of Blanche Milligan and Jacques J. Moore, Jr.; grandfather of Charles Haviland Moore, M.D., Jacques J. Moore, III, Nicholas and Nathaniel Risteen and Mary Moore.

He is also survived by many relatives and friends. He was buried on Jan. 4 at the Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
