Layne Kalbfleisch, a neuroscientist, artist and educator will give a lecture titled The Science of Imagination next week at Creative Cauldron.
The lecture will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p.m., and will feature Andres Jordan, the vice president of Innovation Deutsches Telekom and Oran Sandel, theatre artist.
Kalbfleisch’s lecture will discuss how brains and minds support the natural desire to create and make imagination possible.
The evening will be a combination of lecture and theatre, bringing neuroscience to life in an imaginative way encompassing information about our brains, how they develop and change across life, and the role that stories play in transmitting culture, tradition, history, emotion and in sparking the imagination. In this evening the story will come full circle, from the community, for the community.
