F.C. OK’s Federal Funds for Housing Assistance

Federal funds allocated through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Parternerships (HOME) programs were designated by the Falls Church City Council Monday night predominantly for first-time home buyer ($45,000) and tenant-based rental assistance ($35,000) programs, both operated by the City’s Housing and Human Services Division.

Another $18,400 was allocated for transitional housing for homeless families, administrated by the Falls Church-based Homestretch, Inc. Also, $10,923 was allocated for replacement of storm doors at senior Winter Hill rental housing under the auspices of the Falls Church Housing Corporation.
