Boy Scout troops and Cub Scout packs in the Falls Church area are conducting their annual Scouting for Food collection. This weekend, Nov. 6 – 7, the Scouts will be leaving a Scouting for Food bag at the front door of each household. Residents can place their donations of canned and other non-perishable foods in the bag and leave it outside the front door.
The Scouts will return on Saturday morning, Nov. 13, to collect the donations and take them directly to local food banks serving the needy in the community. The 2009 Scouting for Food collection brought in more than 10,000 pounds of donated food in the Falls Church area.
