Slain F.C. Marine to Be Remembered at Vets Day Service

The family of fallen Marine Sgt. Ronald A. Rodriguez, USMC, of greater Falls Church will receive a Plaque of Honor and a Gold Star Banner at the Annual F.C. City Veterans Memorial on Thursday, Nov. 11, City officials announced this week. Sgt. Rodriguez died at age 26 on Aug. 23, from a roadside bomb blast while on foot patrol in Afghanistan’s Helmand province. The event is free and open to the public.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at the veterans memorial in front of the F.C. Community Center (223 Little Falls St., Falls Church).
