GMHS Alum Due in D.C. With ‘America’s Got Talent’ Tour

Former Falls Church resident and George Mason High graduate Gregg Curtin is slated to perform in Washington, D.C. Nov. 4  alongside his 12 Virginia Tech Pi Alpha Kappa fraternity brothers who compose the group, Fighting Gravity, a finalist in NBC’s America’s Got Talent” TV reality show in September. The group will perform at D.C. DAR Constitution Hall next Thursday as part of the official “America’s Got Talent” tour. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Curtin leads the black-light illusion performance group that placed third out of the four finalists of the TV competition.

While a soccer-playing junior at George Mason High, Curtin scored a game-winning goal in the 2004 State Championship against district rival, Clarke County, as reported in a March 2005 edition  of the News-Press, catapulting him from midfield to central defense the following season.
