The Rotary Clubs of Falls Church, Reston, Rosslyn/Fort Myer and McLean, combined with a Rotary Foundation District Grant approved by Northern Virginia’s Rotary District 7610, contributed $7,500 to Homestretch, a nonprofit organization in Falls Church that provides transitional housing and services to help Fairfax County homeless families rebuild their lives.
The project will start an after-school program for teens in the families served by Homestretch, as well as providing textbooks and other supplies for parent classes in English and financial management. A $7,500 check from Rotary was presented to Homestretch Executive Director, Christopher Fay, at the Homestretch Volunteers Appreciation night at the Falls Church Presbyterian Church on Sept. 29.
