F.C.’s BZA Reverses Forest Dr. Ruling

Last Thursday, the Falls Church Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) reversed a decision by the City’s Zoning Administrator to approve a permit for construction of a home at 217 Forest Drive in Falls Church.

Last Thursday, the Falls Church Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) reversed a decision by the City’s Zoning Administrator to approve a permit for construction of a home at 217 Forest Drive in Falls Church. A different interpretation of the City code on setbacks was at issue. The BZA overturned the decision by a 5-0 vote, being the first time it had reviewed a permit on the issue of “front setback averaging” since 2005.
