F.C. Council Gives Prelim OK to Undo Shift to November Elections

By a 4-2 vote tonight the Falls Church City Council voted to repeal an ordinance passed in January to shift local elections from May to November. What passed was a first reading that will require final OK in two weeks. The council was preparing also to pass a resolution calling for a November 2011 public referendum on the subject.

Council members Robin Gardner and Lawrence Webb were the two who voted against the repeal, and Councilman Ron Peppe was absent.
