Akridge Revives Gateway Project In Presentation to FC Council

The Akridge Company presented a revamped version of its Gateway mixed use project proposed for the 500 block of N. Washington St in Falls Church tonight in a work session that included both the City Council and Planning Commission. The new design of the 2.6 acre site calls for two buildings four and five stories in height with 200 residential units of 700 to 1,200 square feet and 76,000 square feet of retail and commercial and 500 underground parking spaces. While questions and comments came out in the presentations, no decisions were made, not even a date set for the next step.
