Public Can Plant Butterfly-Beneficial Blooms in F.C.

The public is invited to join the City of Falls Church Habitat Restoration Team in restoring the local ecosystem in City parks. The next restoration event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. – noon at Cherry Hill Park (312 Park Ave., Falls Church). Those attending should meet behind the basketball courts near the wooded area.

The public is invited to join the City of Falls Church Habitat Restoration Team in restoring the local ecosystem in City parks. The next restoration event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. – noon at Cherry Hill Park (312 Park Ave., Falls Church). Those attending should meet behind the basketball courts near the wooded area.

Another event will be held on Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. – noon at Crossman Park at the end of Van Buren Street in Falls Church. Volunteers will be removing damaging invasive plants as well as planting natives that benefit local birds and butterflies.
