MGC Free Seminars Kick Off Saturday

Merrifield Garden Center’s free gardening seminars, open to the public, kick off this Saturday, Sept. 11 with Ornamental Grasses, led by Landscape Designer Amy Strunk. Ornamental grasses vary in size, shape and color, from a few inches tall with fine blades to over 10’ tall with fluffy plumes.

Merrifield Garden Center’s free gardening seminars, open to the public, kick off this Saturday, Sept. 11 with Ornamental Grasses, led by Landscape Designer Amy Strunk. Ornamental grasses vary in size, shape and color, from a few inches tall with fine blades to over 10’ tall with fluffy plumes.

Strunk will go over the different varieties and show those in attendance how to combine them with pansies, mums, ornamental cabbage and kale and more to add a seasonal touch to local landscapes. The meeting will be held at Merrifield Community Hall (8014 Lee Hwy., Falls Church). For more information, call 703-560-6222.
