Falls Church Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A 25-year old Falls Church man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Leesburg Pike Wednesday night.

Police officers responded to the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Gorham Street around 10:10 p.m. for a crash involving a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2008 Ford 150 pickup truck. An investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling east on Leesburg Pike approaching Gorham Street. The driver of the pickup truck was north on Gorham Street making a left onto Leesburg Pike.

The motorcycle struck the pickup truck and the motorcyclist, Christopher Hamilton, of 3800 Powell Lane #431 in Falls Church, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

Crash Reconstruction detectives continue their investigation to determine if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
