F.C. Real Estate Tax Revenues Now $191,801 Below Projections For End of FY2010 Fiscal Year

In a monthly update on the City of Falls Church’s fiscal situation presented to a work session of the City Council last night, Acting Chief Financial Officer Melissa Ryman reported that real estate tax revenues actually collected in the first three weeks of July, applied to the fiscal year ending June 30, came in $191,801 below projections. A decline in expenditures by $161,449 has mitigated the effect of the tax collection shortfall for FY10 so far.
