F.C. Man Arrested in Abduction, Sexual Assault Case of 17-Year-Old

The alleged victim was a 17-year-old girl that met the man on the MySpace online social networking site, and arranged to meet for dinner and a movie last Saturday.

A 27-year-old Falls Church area man was arrested Monday by detectives of the Fairfax County Police Sex Crimes Unit and charged with abduction, rape, object sexual penetration and malicious wounding. The alleged victim was a 17-year-old girl that met the man on the MySpace online social networking site, and arranged to meet for dinner and a movie last Saturday.

Following the abduction and sexual assault, the victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Under arrest is Rony Herrera Deleon of 6731 Barrett Road in Falls Church. Fairfax Police are urging anyone else who might have had similar contact with DeLeon to contact Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-8477, by email at www.fairfaxcrimesolvers.org, or by texting TIP187 and a message to CRIMES/274637, or by calling Fairfax Police at 703-691-2131.
