F.C.’s IT Director Resigns

Paul Taylor, the City of Falls Church’s Information Technology director for the last six years, announced last month he is resigning to accept a new job with the federal government. His last day with the City is this Friday, July 23.

For the immediate future, F.C.’s Assistant City Manager Cindy Mester will assume many of the managerial-level duties of the position; some of other IT Director responsibilities will be absorbed by the City’s IT contractor, Intellidyne. Prior to filling the IT Director position, the City will, over the next few months, conduct an IT infrastructure and operational assessment in conjunction with the Falls Church City Public Schools to look for opportunities to consolidate and coordinate IT functions.
