Webb Calls for Nuclear Plant in Virginia

U.S. Senator Jim Webb (D-Va.) yesterday joined the Virginia-based Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Energy, Inc. and Bechtel Power Corporation to announce a formal alliance to design, license and deploy the world’s first commercially viable Generation III++ small modular nuclear power plant.

Since joining the Senate in 2007, Senator Webb has become a leading voice in Congress for the development of nuclear power and innovative energy solutions.
