Mason Girls Lax Stunned in Playoffs

Monticello High dropped George Mason High School, 14-12, in a seesaw girls varsity lacrosse regional playoff game on Monday night. For the Mustangs, it was a continuation of a stunning turn of events. The Mustangs claimed a regular season title with an unblemished record and generally dispatched the opposition with ease, but then were defeated by Broad Run in the Dulles District championship game last Wednesday.

After Monday night’s loss, the Mustangs’ season is abruptly over. The squad concludes the year with a 15-2 record.
