This Saturday, from 1 – 4 p.m., a limited supply of 50-gallon rain barrels will be up for sale at the Falls Church Property Yard (7100 Gordon Road, Falls Church) from the Northern Virginia Rain Barrel Partners.
The 50-gallon, 42″ high and 23″ wide barrels, on sale for $60 each, are used to collect and store rain water run off from the roof or gutters, which in turn can be used to water plants, yards and flowers.
Those interested in purchasing a barrel must bring exact change, or a check, to the sale. Checks should be made payable to the Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District (NVSWCD).
