Death of Man Found in Falls Church Ruled Suicide

The medical examiner has ruled that the death of a man found in the Tower Square Shopping Center parking lot in Falls Church Monday night was a suicide, City officials reported at 5:12 p.m. today.

After receiving reports of possible gunfire, police discovered the body of a Latino male, possibly middle-aged, at 11:15 p.m. last night with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head in the Tower Square Shopping Center near E.Fairfax St. and Hillwood Ave. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A gun, a 38 “special,” was found near the body.

While City officials have confirmed the victim was not a Falls Church City resident, his identity is still being withheld.
