Driver Rushed to Hospital After Collision at Maple & W. Broad in F.C.

The driver of a small passenger vehicle that suffered major damage to its front end following a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of W. Broad and Maple Ave. in Falls Church was rushed to the hospital by paramedic units from the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department at 4:20 p.m. today.

Broad and Maple Ave. in Falls Church was rushed to the hospital by paramedic units from the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department at 4:20 p.m. today.

Falls Church Police were on the scene within minutes of the accident, and FCVFD units arrived shortly thereafter, removing the victim from the driver’s seat onto a gurney to be transported to the hospital. Witnesses told the News-Press that the running of a red light at the intersection yielded the collision.

The victim, a woman appearing in her 30s, was the only passenger in her car.
