Lady Statesmen Dancers Land 2nd Place at South County Competition

The Marshall High School dance team impressed competition judges at South County High on March 20, with a second-place overall finish and first place in three events.

The girls placed first in the Hip Hop Team Leader category with Katherine Joa, Tayler Kenney, Diana Man and Emily Shibut. The girls came in first for the Pom Category, along with Lexie Tsantes.

Tsantes and Naomi Carbone earned first in the Hip Hop duet competition.

The girls competed with 14 area schools in Saturday’s competition. They had previously qualified in the summer for national competitions.
