Business Owner Turns in Favor of Wilden Senior Project

In a surprise development at the Falls Church City Council meeting tonight, the owner of the Arlington-based EdOptions spoke out in strong support of The Wilden Senior affordable housing project up for final approval tonight.

It marked a reversal for Tom Sawner, who said that the bases of his former opposition had all been fixed by changes made to the project in the last two months.

He also announced his intent to rent 15,000 square feet in the new office building slated to go adjacent The Wilden that developer Bob Young intends to build. He also indicated that approval of The Wilden could enhance the redevelopment of the older office buildings at 500 and 510 S. Washington next to the site that Sawner owns.
