On the eve of the filing deadline today, City of Falls Church citizen activists Ira Kaylin and Johanna Barry confirmed to the News-Press that they will both be running as “independents” for the F.C. City Council in the May 4 election. Kaylin said in a note to the News-Press today that the two will run independently but will “share a common platform.” The addition of Kaylin brings to nine the number of probable candidates seeking four seats in the F.C. Council in the upcoming election.
