New Competitor Gregory Rasnake Announces Candidacy for F.C. School Board

Gregory R. Rasnake,  announced today his intent to run as a candidate for the Falls Church School Board.

“Greg absolutely believes that the Falls Church Public Schools are an invaluable asset to the City and that they absolutely must remain independent,” said a statement released today by Rasnake’s campaign. Rasnake’s two daughters, Grace and Vivian, are third and fourth graders at Thomas Jefferson Elementary in Falls Church.

Rasnake works as a senior Congressional liaison and deputy director at the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA). In the FAA Office of Government and Industry Affairs department, Rasnake oversees the $16.5 billion FAA budget, and had previously worked as a managing partner of law firm Davis Rasnake, PLLC. He is also a U.S. Army veteran and member of the organization Disabled American Veterans.

In 1995, Rasnake ran for the 66th Virginia House of Delegates seat, losing to Republican Del. Kirk Cox.
