Va. Police Release Friday Crash Stats

 

From midnight through 4:30 p.m., Virginia State Police have responded to 557 statewide traffic crashes Friday, including a fatal traffic crash in Wythe County early Friday morning that claimed two lives. The Virginia State Police Fairfax Division has responded to 17 crashes and 61 disabled vehicles from during the same period.

State police have also responded to 414 disabled vehicles on Interstates, and secondary and rural roads across the Commonwealth.

State Police dispatch centers have fielded 1,259 calls for service and another 1,315 calls for information. The majority of crashes involve damaged vehicles only. There is still only one reported traffic fatality since the storm moved into the Commonwealth.
