Falls Church City School Snow & Weather Updates

In anticipation of a possible major snow storm starting Friday, Falls Church Public Schools has issued a letter alerting parents to ways of keeping informed with potential school delays, closings and early dismissal.

All schools are scheduled to open on time Friday, though, because of forecast changes, parents are urged to keep informed of updates by the following ways:

  • The school division Web site:  www.fccps.org
  • Falls Church City Television (Cox 12, RCN 2, Verizon 35)
  • The FCC-TV Web site:  www.fcctv.net
  • The FCCPS parent information line:  (703) 248-5500 x 3113
  • Twitter.com (Follow @FCCPS)
  • Local commercial television and radio stations

FCCPS will also send a courtesy email to all parents with an email address registered with the schools.  However, they caution that delivery via email may be delayed.

In addition, the Falls Church News-Press will also be posting updates from the schools and the City of Falls Church, as they happen, at its website at www.fcnp.com.
