Pedestrian Identified in Nov. 6 Hit & Run

The victim of a November 6 hit and run near Annandale Road who died a day later has been  identified as Jose Lemus, 41, of 7218 Poplar Street in Annandale.

The 41-year-old Annandale man was struck by a vehicle on Friday, November 6 around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Annandale Road and Farr Street. The victim was in the road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. That vehicle fled the scene. The victim was then struck by a 2009 Honda Accord operated by a 62-year-old man, who remained on the scene. Lemus died the next day on November 7.

Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives are continuing to investigate and would like to speak to the driver of the first vehicle. Detectives believe the striking vehicle to be a Chrysler with its driver-side mirror missing.
