UPDATE: Pedestrian Dies in Hit and Run

The victim in this crash died at 5:21 p.m. last night, November 7. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Fairfax Co. Police Seek Driver of Vehicle

A 41-year-old Annandale man was struck by a vehicle on Friday, November 7 around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Annandale Road and Farr Street. The victim was in the road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.

That vehicle fled the scene. The victim was then struck by a 2009 Honda Accord operated by a 62-year-old man, who remained on the scene. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives are continuing to investigate and would like to speak to the driver of the first vehicle. Detectives believe the striking vehicle to be a Chrysler with its driver-side mirror missing.
