The City of Falls Church has an issued a release to remind residents that personal property tax payments must be made by Monday, Oct. 5.

The tax bill may be paid by mail or in person to the City Treasurer, 300 Park Ave., Suite 103E, Falls Church, VA, 22046. The City is also reminding residents that they must also display the green City window sticker decals for tax year 2010 on their vehicles by midnight on Nov. 15 or risk receiving a ticket and a fine from law enforcement agencies participating in a region-wide decal enforcement effort. Decals should be affixed to the right of the state Safety Inspection sticker when looking at the windshield from inside the vehicle. All decals from prior years should be removed before affixing the current one. Motorcycle decals should be affixed to the bike’s fork next to the state Safety Inspection sticker.

2010 green decals were attached to most tax bills. Residents who did not receive a decal should call the Treasurer’s Office at 703-248-5046 (TTY 711). All decals show the year, make and model of the vehicle.
