Do Libertarians All Agree on Gay Marriage?

Thank you for publishing such an interesting bigoted diatribe on what libertarians may and may not believe. What an eclectic group we are: pro-choice/ pro-life, against all drug laws or for them as long as the government covers poverty and old age health care.

After a recent extensive study, I have found Judeo-Christian divorce laws going back more than 3,000 years and farther back in Asia. Public policy has tolerated Spartan openly gay societies and concubine marriages, where barely more than slave-kept women had special status.

I found no references to the oxymoron gay marriage. It is hard to ban something that never existed. American gays want all the government and corporate hand-outs possible, like Social Security, health care, and retirement benefits. That expansion of government is against core libertarian beliefs. Or, as my mother used to say, “your freedom ends when it hits my nose.”

On behalf of our organization, I would like to thank Mr. Alex Prewitt for his article about our basketball team, the NOVA Cavaliers, in last week’s edition of the News-Press. The article was extremely well written and we’re very fortunate to have such a positive coverage on our team thank in largely to Mr. Prewitt.

Thanks again.
